About Latonen Media

Latonen Media is a brand name used by Yannick Schuurmans for photography and videography services. While I primarily work independently on a freelance basis, I collaborate with others for larger projects whenever needed.

Originally from the Netherlands, I moved to Finland in summer 2021 for studies. After completing my Bachelor's degree and working as an environmental engineer, I shifted my focus to establish a career in the creative industry.

Creativity and photography have always played a significant role in my life. My interest in photography truly took off when my grandmother lent me her old DSLR camera at age 12. I spent that vacation capturing photos to create a calendar as a gift. I never stopped taking pictures and videos after.

What started as capturing vacation memories evolved into event photography, team portraits, and now... Well, you tell me? What would you like to see me create next?

I work with both digital and analogue cameras, having recently started shooting film to capture that timeless, organic look that only film photography can provide.
